We're discontinuing Loaded™ for Travel cards – we stopped selling cards in December. Any cards that remain open as at 2 June 2020 will be cancelled. Find out more about the changes.

Log in to your online account

With Loaded™ for Travel you get an online account, which is totally separate from your bank account. The first time you log in you enter your card number and date of birth (DDMMYYY), then create a username and password. After that, whenever you log in you can:

  • check your balance and transactions
  • transfer funds between different currencies
  • update your personal details
  • change your PIN.

Manage your account straight out of your pocket with our Loaded™ for Travel app. Check your balance and card activity, transfer funds between different currencies on your card, or update your personal details. Done!

Check your balance and transactions

Keep an eye on your card activity to make sure nothing fishy’s going on. We don’t send out printed statements for your Loaded™ for Travel card account (we’re saving the trees) but we'll provide you with monthly statements which will be available online when you log-in to your account.

You can even check your balance and transactions with the Loaded™ for Travel app (available on iOS and Android). You can also use an ATM (fees apply).

Update your personal details

If any of your personal details have changed (particularly your contact details), you can update them:

Lock or unlock your card

If you need to lock or unlock your card (for security, peace of mind or whatever reason), get in touch and we'll make it happen.

Closing your account

Is this really the end? If you've returned from an overseas trip you can keep shopping with your card, or continue to load money as savings for your next trip. There are no annual card fees to keep your account open either. If you're 100% sure you want to close your account, then:

  • print off a transaction history from your online account (you won't have access once it's closed)
  • complete and scan this closure form, then email it to or send it by snail mail to: Loaded Card, Private Bag 39 888, Wellington Mail Centre, Wellington 5045.

We'll convert any remaining money back into NZ dollars and deposit it into the NZ bank account of your choice. Exchange rates will be calculated on the day the card is closed.
